There are no unwanted cats, just unfound homes...

Becoming a fosterer for the cats and kittens that come into rescue, we believe is one of the most rewarding things you can do for them.

We can't explain the amazing feeling you get every time a frightened, mistreated and scared cat or kitten comes into your home and purrs or lets you stroke them for the first time. This only grows when you help them find their forever home knowing they've grown into confident, happy and healthy cats!

It might be hard to let them go... we all have a 'foster fail' or two, but remember there is always another one in need of your love and patience to help them reach their full potential.

Things to consider before getting in touch

•Do I have a safe, quiet space in my home to separate my fosterers from my other pets initially so they can decompress and realise no one will hurt them?
•How much time is someone at home each day, and how much time can I give?
•Will I have time to interact and play with my fosterers each day to help them become homeable?
•Am I able to take my fosterers to routine vet appointments at Claro Hill in Pannel? Do I have access to transport and the time to undertake this?
•Is my family or housemates on board with fostering cats and kittens?
•What experience do I have? What is the best match for me — kittens, ferals, or adult cats?

Long-term fostering & special needs

From time to time cats or kittens with health conditions or special needs come into the rescue, and these may be difficult to rehome. In such instances we may look for long-term foster placements, where the rescue continues to fund ongoing vet treatment. This can be the ideal solution for those wanting a cat but unable to make the financial commitment for vet bills.
